FAQ
What is drilled honeycomb?
Drilled honeycomb is for example used for the manufacturing of vacuum tables. For this application simple perforation is not sufficient and larger holes (usually between 3 and 5 mm diameter) are drilled into the unexpanded slices. This allows air to freely circulate between the different cells, once the honeycomb is expanded and bonded into a panel. Since the drilled holes are large and easily visible to the eye, they are sometimes referred to as macro perforation.
